The roller-skating C's star (yes, he roller skates and he roller skates very, very well) has emerged as one of the game's best all-around players since arriving in the first round of the
2006 draft with the 21st pick overall.
But did you know that the Celtics weren't the team that drafted him? This unnamed team plucked him out of Kentucky with its 21st overall draft pick, but quickly traded him, along with
veteran forward Brian Grant, to Boston for a 2007 first-round pick in a
prearranged deal.
Needless to say, the deal worked out in favor of the C's as Rondo helped the team win its 17th world
championship in 2008 and led them back to the title match in 2010.
