Kenny Britt should probably consider getting into night club altercations two days before every NFL game. It worked like a charm on Sunday.
Early Friday morning, Britt was accused of being involved in a bar fight at Nashville Club Karma — not the one of Jersey Shore fame — and has since been the subject of an ongoing misdemeanor assault investigation in which the victim is likely to press charges.
On Sunday, the receiver took his breakout year to another level, compiling 225 yards and three touchdowns (despite being benched for the first quarter), and after the performance, he and a Nashville police officer hugged as he left the field.
Even so, there is likely enough evidence for an arrest warrant to be issued.
Tight end Bo Scaife, though, wants to see Britt clubbing ever week.
"If that guy wants to go out on the town clubbing then let him be," he said, according to The Tennessean. "Just get him security next time. They better let him alone. But that boy is a ticking time bomb on the field and off.''
Jeff Fisher was not so convinced that he played well because of his off-field issue.
"It was a great performance. I mean, it was an outstanding performance," Fisher said. "It is two separate issues right now."
