Red Sox Could Face Serious Competition in Bidding War for Carl Crawford

There are a number of factors that can and will affect the Red Sox' potential bid for outfielder Carl Crawford, according to Hall of Famer Peter Gammons.

During the Live BP segment of Tuesday's edition of Red Sox Hot Stove Live, Gammons suggested a number of teams who have rumored interest in Crawford, and there are a few situations where the Red Sox could be outbid.

Gammons listed three other teams that could place a competitive bid over the Sox, but he also believes Crawford is the Red Sox' top target during the offseason, and that they will go after him first before Adrian Beltre or Jayson Werth.

To hear why he believes Crawford would succeed with the Red Sox, check out the video from Red Sox Hot Stove Live above.
