Fan Forum: How Will You Remember Dennis Wideman's Career With the Bruins?Dennis Wideman's career in Boston involved a love-hate relationship with the passionate Bruins fan base.

Simply put, he was loved one year and hated the next.

Wideman had an amazing 2008-09 season — his second full year in Black and Gold. The defenseman was third on the team with a plus-32 and was tied with Zdeno Chara for most points among defensemen with 50 (13 goals, 37 assists). Just one year later, however, Wideman caught more boos than opponents at the TD Garden due to a frustrating year where he finished with just 30 points and a minus-14 rating.

This offseason, he was shipped to Florida along with the B's second overall pick in the draft (No. 15) for winger Nathan Horton. Thursday marks Wideman's first game in the Garden as an opponent since the trade.
