Vote: How Should the Bruins Replace Marc Savard? The B’s are expected to announce some sad news at 2 p.m. ET on Monday regarding Marc Savard’s near future with the Black and Gold.

All signs are pointing to shutting down the playmaker for the remainder of the 2010-11 season.

While the Hub will be sending its thoughts and prayers toward the centerman and his family, the city will also be wondering how the front office plans to replace his presence in the B’s attack.

The B’s have already proven this year that they’re pretty deep down the middle. Savard has played in just 25 games, meaning that Patrice Bergeron, David Krejci, Gregory Campbell, and even rookie Tyler Seguin, call-up Zach Hamill and winger Blake Wheeler have filled in admirably with the veteran playmaker on the shelf.

Will general manager Peter Chiarelli fill from within and rely on a Providence call up? With the trade deadline approaching, will they B’s bring in an outsider? Will they sign a free agent like they did last year when they tacked on Miroslav Satan? Leave your thoughts below.
