Bart Scott Limps Out of Ring in Poorly Executed TNA Wrestling Promo Professional wrestling is scripted and therefore fake, so remember that as you hear about Bart Scott‘s stint in TNA Wrestling.

The Jets’ linebacker, famous for his postgame tirade that would have made Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson proud, made his wrestling debut with TNA. It was taped last week, and it’ll air on Thursday night. The hype has been building, but now it’s reached a new point, with a YouTube clip that conveniently leaves out the action but shows Scott limping out of the ring. Watch the clip in the Video of the Day section and decide for yourself if he actually “shatters his ankle,” as the announcers say.

The video also shows Scott engaged in one of the fakest-looking brawls you’ll ever see. Something tells me that despite the controversy that TNA is trying to build, Mike Tannenbaum and Rex Ryan aren’t very worried about their starting linebacker.

We also like Scott better when he’s not working off a script.

(Side note: As someone who hasn’t watched wrestling in more than a decade, I have to say I’m surprised at how rough Kurt Angle is looking these days. Have some pride, Olympic champ!)

(Side note to the side note: That is a rather nice ascot, though.)

We asked our Facebook fans if Trevor Gillies is the dirtiest player in the NHL. Most people still believe that title belongs to Matt Cooke, but one fan brings up a good point.

“at least Cooke has talent unlike this guy who still thinks it’s the 70s with that stashe”
–Francisco DePace Jr.
