Bobby Jenks Scheduled for Debut, Andrew Miller Set for Follow-Up Performance As Red Sox Take On Phillies Bobby Jenks will make his Red Sox debut Wednesday against the Philadelphia Phillies. The burly right-hander, signed to a two-year deal this offseason to bolster the bullpen, is expected to pitch the third inning.

The appearance will make Jenks the last of the pitchers who are assured a spot on the major league roster to appear. He is often a guy that takes his springs rather slowly, but he was given even more of a wait this time around, throwing four bullpen sessions and two sessions against hitters.

"I've never thrown this late before," Jenks said. "It was [pitching coach Curt Young's] idea. He just wanted to get a better look, better feel off the mound before we jump into things."

While many eyes will be on Jenks early, many more will be watching Andrew Miller in his second appearance of the spring. Miller struck out two of the three hitters he faced in his debut, looking very smooth and efficient in doing so. The lanky lefty is one of five pitchers lined up to relieve Stolmy Pimentel, who is starting in place of Josh Beckett.

Beckett's start was pushed back due to his concussion.

Cole Hamels starts for the Phillies.
