Max Pacioretty Should Have Known Where He Was on the Ice

Zdeno Chara is scheduled for a phone hearing with the NHL regarding his hit that sent Canadiens winger Max Pacioretty to the hospital, and the debate about what kind of punishment the Bruins' captain deserves is fierce.

On one hand, Chara's hit was clearly an interference penalty in a dangerous part of the ice, but on the other hand, the argument can be made that if Pacioretty hadn't been injured, the hit wouldn't have been suspension-worthy.

Sal from Cape Cod, a former Hockey East and minor league hockey player, called in to Dennis and Callahan and defended Chara, saying that if he had a responsibility to know where he was on the ice, so did Pacioretty.
