Toward the end of his career in Toronto, Tomas Kaberle knew that it was unlikely he would be a Maple Leaf for much longer. When he started thinking about carrying on his career somewhere else, Boston seemed like a logical fit.
The Bruins defenseman was acquired from Toronto prior to last month's trade deadline, and he says that the transition has been made easier by his desire to not only be in Boston, but by his teammates who have accepted him quickly.
"Obviously the boys are great to me," Kaberle said on The Big Bad Bruins Show in the midst of the team's recent six-game road trip. "Everybody's a nice guy. When you win, it makes it an even better feeling. … [Boston] has good players and a lot of good history, so hopefully we make a deep playoff run."
To here more from Kaberle's discussion with Naoko Funayama, including a brief time in the minors when he shared a blue line with Shawn Thornton, check out the video above.
