Vote: Who Will Win the National Championship? Monday night will be a battle of the dogs when the Connecticut Huskies square off with the Butler Bulldogs in one of the most unlikely national championship matchups in recent history, consisting of the highest combination of seeds ever in the title game — 11.

In one corner you have Jim Calhoun and his Huskies. UConn will be looking for its third national title under Calhoun. Behind the play of junior guard Kemba Walker, the Huskies have gone on an incredible run, a run that started with five wins in five nights in the Big East tournament. That run has only been extended as the Huskies can make it 11 straight with a win over Butler on Monday night.

The Bulldogs, meanwhile, are back in the championship game just a year after coming so close to winning a title of their own. Brad Stevens‘ bunch lost to Duke in last year’s title game, and their run back to the national championship this year as a No. 8 seed has been even more unprecedented.

Something will have to give on Monday night. Either Calhoun will further solidify his legacy in Storrs, or Stevens and his upstart mid-major squad will cement themselves as a national power.
