Ex-Colts Cheerleader Malori Wampler Suing Team for Discrimination After Getting Fired for Racy Photos Malori Wampler, at one point in her life, had spent some time working for Playboy magazine. Later, she was hired by the Indianapolis Colts as a cheerleader. The Colts knew of her past employer.

Yet, last Novemeber, when a Colts fan sent the team photos of Wampler wearing a painted-on bikini, they immediately fired her, saying she had violated the rules of conduct for committing “any act that will or may create notoriety.”

Now, as The Indianapolis Star reported, Wampler is suing the team for discrimination.

“Wampler, who is Indonesian, says the Colts discriminated against her based on her gender and ethnicity because other cheerleaders — as well as Colts players, who must follow similar rules of conduct — have committed acts that created ‘notoriety’ but were allowed to keep their jobs,” reported Carrie Ritchie.

Wampler’s suit alleges that white cheerleaders have posed for similar pictures but were not fired. She also claims some Colts players “created notoriety” but kept their jobs. Perhaps she was referring to this.
