The Red Sox are finally starting to hit like everyone thought they would. And while they may be getting contributions from those expected to contribute — like newcomers Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez — the Sox are also getting offense from some unexpected places.
Tom Caron and Dennis Eckersley talked with The Boston Globe's Peter Abraham about not only the hot streak that Crawford is on specifically, but also about the contributions from players like Drew Sutton and Josh Reddick. Both Sutton and Reddick have filled in admirably in the absence of a couple of injured Sox, and it had Abraham comparing their contributions to those of players like Darnell McDonald and Daniel Nava last year.
