It’s common for fans to gather at an airport to either welcome their players or wish them well as they travel on the road for a playoff game. Tampa Bay Lightning fans, though, showed their support in a unique way.
As the Lightning boarded their plane for Boston Sunday morning, a group of Tampa Bay fans formed a lightning bolt in the parking lot of the Tampa International Airport, according to Yahoo! Sports. Wearing blue and white, the symbol was intended to reach the players while in the sky. The event was reportedly organized by the team.
This was certainly a unique way for fans to show pride in their team. Do these fans remind anyone else of that school of fish from Finding Nemo?
