Matt Albers Earns Amica Pitcher of the Week Honors With Four Scoreless Relief Innings Matt Albers owned the middle innings for the Red Sox this week, pitching four more scoreless innings.

In three appearances, Albers allowed a total of three hits over four innings out of the bullpen, and is this week's pick for Amica Pitcher of the Week.

The 28-year-old right-hander from Houston has not allowed a run since June 1, a streak lasting 8 1/3 innings out of the bullpen.

Albers has been a workhorse out of the bullpen. Only Daniel Bard has thrown more relief innings than Albers for the Red Sox.
