After hearing that the IRS might force Lopez to pay taxes on the free season tickets and memorabilia that the Yankees rewarded him with for returning the home run ball, Miller High Life beer has stepped in and offered to pick up the tab, according to CNBC's Darren Rovell.
"Miller High Life believes you should be rewarded for doing the right thing, not penalized," according to the article. "We want to recognize Christian Lopez, and in turn everyone like him, for doing the common sense thing and help him continue to live the High Life."
The "Champagne of Beers" brewer has also reportedly offered to throw a party for Lopez and his friends.
