Who Will Be the Amica Pitcher of the Week This Week? With just three games left in the regular season and the Red Sox clinging to a slim margain in the wild card race, Boston will head into Baltimore for its final regular-season series still looking to wrap up a spot in the postseason.

While there have been many questions about the rotation as the team has struggled down the stretch, the Red Sox will have to depend on their staff to get it done in this a must-win series.

Josh Beckett gets the start in the first game of the series on Monday night. While Beckett has a reputation of coming through in big games, so far in September, he is 1-1 with a 4.24 ERA in three starts. This season against the Orioles, Beckett has gone 1-1 with an ERA of 6.38 in three starts.

On Tuesday, the Sox will hand the ball to Erik Bedard, who was brought in to aid the rotation back in August. He will go up against the team that originally drafted him back in 1999. In four career starts against the O's, he is 1-0 with a 2.79 ERA.

The Red Sox will turn to Jon Lester in the season finale on Wednesday night. Although Lester had a rough go of it Saturday, allowing eight runs and getting chased after just 2 2/3 innings, his body of work speaks for itself this season. If Boston needs a win, he may be the pitcher Terry Francona feels most comfortable with on the mound. If their playoff fate is already decided before Wednesday, look for someone else to step in and get the start. Lester would then be available to start the first game of the American League Division Series.
