When you take your seat in a ballpark, catching a foul ball is always in the back of your mind. Rarely though, regardless of convincing yourself that your seat is prime real estate for a foul ball, does one find you.
Zack Hample, MLB's "ball hawk," has taken away all that excitement of catching a ball inside your team's ballpark.
Hample arrives at ballparks for batting practice, not to watch his favorite players, but to snag baseballs to add to his collection of over 5,000. He's taken it to a whole other level as well.
Hample brings different shirts to stadiums, including apparel for both teams, so players throwing balls into the crowd won't recognize him. He's caught 5,255 baseballs in over 48 major league parks since he began.
If you spot Hample in a ballpark near you, don't bother putting your glove on. Way to ruin every little kid's dream.
