Floyd Mayweather did all he could to intimidate Victor Ortiz at Friday's weigh-in. If Ortiz's response is any indicator, though, he should be ready for Saturday's fight.

According to USAToday.com, the two fighters got physical toward the end of their weigh-in at the MGM Grand's Grand Garden Arena. Mayweather, trying to intimidate the younger Ortiz, grabbed the fighter by the throat. According to the report, Ortiz just laughed it off.

"It's all a big joke. It's nothing," he said of the skirmish.

"I have been at this for 16 years," said Mayweather who weighed in at 146 1/2 pounds. "This is the first time for Ortiz. I just have to keep my composure, stick to my game plan, and listen to what my [trainer] Uncle Roger tells me."

The 24-year-old Ortiz weighed in at 147 pounds.

The 34-year-old Mayweather's decision to try and ruffle the feathers of the younger Ortiz may have also been an attempt to sway the crowd of about 4,000 that was largely pro-Ortiz.
