There were plenty of nice moments during the Bruins' pregame ceremony to raise their Stanley Cup banner on Thursday night. One of the best, however, may have had more to do with an old jacket rather than a banner or the Stanley Cup even.
Defenseman Andrew Ference presented now-retired forward Mark Recchi with the old Bruins jacket that the B's passed around the locker room last season to the game's most valuable player following a win.
Tom Caron asked Ference about that following the game, and Ference was a bit coy about the jacket's future. One thing was sure, though, as Ference made it clear that the Hall of Fame could not have their jacket.
