Bruins Could Benefit From Intense Showdowns With Canadiens, But Must Still Play Their Own Game

The Bruins have stumbled out of the gate this season in what is being described as a Stanley Cup hangover. Their home-and-home series with the Montreal Canadiens could not have come at a better time.

The B's will square off with the Habs at TD Garden on Thursday before traveling to Montreal for a game on Saturday. With the Bruins struggling through their first eight games, compiling a 3-5-0 record, the increased intensity that accompanies the rivalry could serve the B's well as they try to get out of their funk.

The Bruins haven't played since Saturday and should be well rested heading into Thursday night's matchup. They'll also have some lineup changes.

To hear from the Bruins about what they need to do, as well as hear analysis from NESN.com's Douglas Flynn, check out the video above from NESN Daily.
