Well, that's… weird.
The Bruins find themselves in last place after falling to the Canadiens on Thursday night, 2-1. Tomas Plekanec scored two goals, one against each team, and the highlight of the game was a much-anticipated fight between Brad Marchand and P.K. Subban.
Unfortunately, the Bruins weren't able to translate the energy from that fight into a goal, and the team had to settle with their only offense coming from Plekanec sneaking one past his own goalie.
Carey Price was solid between the pipes the rest of the way and now the Canadiens continue to ride a hot streak seemingly spurred by the dismissal of assistant coach Perry Pearn on Wednesday.
NESN Nation's Dan Duquette is awarding Plekanec our "Double Duty" player of the game for Plekanec's best efforts at helping both teams win. The bright side for the Bruins? They get another chance to face the Canadiens again on Saturday.
