Report: Allen Iverson Willing to Come Off Bench for CelticsOnce the NBA lockout ends — if it ever ends — a well-known veteran reportedly is interested in coming to Boston.

Allen Iverson would be willing to provide a scoring punch off the bench for the Celtics, his agent tells The Boston Globe.

"Of course, he would be interested in anywhere in the NBA, but Boston is particularly attractive to him because of Danny Ainge, the organization and one of the most respected coaches he knows in the business in Doc Rivers," Iverson's agent, Gary Moore, told the Globe's Gary Washburn.

Iverson, 36, worked himself out of Detroit and Memphis by insisting he start before becoming a model citizen in a second stint with the 76ers in 2009-10. Even that ended prematurely, however, with Iverson leaving the team for personal reasons.

Iverson was the league's MVP in 2000-01, when he led the Sixers to the NBA Finals.
