Sandy Alomar Jr. is the latest candidate to interview for the Red Sox managerial position, and though he has no prior managerial experience, Alomar made it clear that each person has a different path.
Alomar spent 20 seasons in the majors as a catcher. He also served as the Mets catching instructor in 2008 and 2009 and as the Indians first base coach before becoming Cleveland's bench coach this past season.
The Boston Globe's Peter Abraham spoke about Alomar's interview with the Red Sox on Wednesday, during which the longtime major league catcher used his playing experience to help him out during the simulation portion.
