Shaquille O'Neal was back in Boston on Friday, as he was helping to give back to the community as he's done in other cities many times before.
O'Neal was back in town to help deliver Thanksgiving turkeys to needy families, and he also spent some time reading with children as part of the Head Start program.
"Here in Boston, we're all about teamwork," he told NESN's Dara McIntosh. "We're all about doing the right thing, that's why I love coming back to Boston."
O'Neal also talked about how happy he was to have a chance to return to Boston. O'Neal said that he developed a respect for Boston fans over the course of his career, and that respect only grew during his one year with the Celtics. He even expressed regret over not being able to contribute more with the C's.
