NBA Commissioner David Stern Starting to Resemble Don Corleone of 'The Godfather'
NBA commissioner David Stern might be letting power get to his head. After vetoing a trade that would have sent Hornets guard Chris Paul to the Lakers, Stern reportedly prompted teams to pull out of at least two other deals because the league (which owns the Hornets) was asking an absurdly high price for the All-Star point guard.

It’s understandable Stern is confident at the moment. He and the owners took the players to the cleaners in the lockout, and it’s only rational to try to carry over some of that power into the season. But the commissioner’s methods remind cartoonist Will O’Toole of a different kind of boss, as seen above.

Since graduating from Seton Hall University, Will O’Toole has been doing cartoons for over 30 years for a number of papers (USA Today), magazines (College and Pro Football Weekly) and websites (CBSSportsline.com). He is believed to be the only national cartoonist to have voted for the Heisman Trophy and the Wooden and Naismith Awards.
