Upstart Stars Survive Without Kari Lehtonen, Looking to Continue Surprise Success in West

The Dallas Stars have opened some eyes this season, sticking around as one of the best teams in the Western Conference. That was expected by some to change after No. 1 goaltender Kari Lehtonen went down recently.

The goalie's lower-body injury caused Lehtonen to miss 12 games ultimately, but the Stars were able to stay afloat in his absence. Dallas actually went 7-5 without its Finnish goaltender, but they're hoping his return can give them a spark in a pretty wide-open Western Conference.

The Instigators discussed what the Stars have been able to do this season, and you can see what Billy Jaffe, Dale Arnold and Barry Pederson had to say in the video above.
