After the Patriots knocked off the Baltimore Ravens to advance to Super Bowl XLVI, it comes as no surprise that the media coverage has intensified leading up to the big game. That includes one of the most popular sports magazines in the country.

Tom Brady has found himself on the cover of this week's Sports Illustrated. The issue, which hits newsstands on Wednesday, covers both of the AFC and NFC Conference Championship games.

In the issue, SI senior writer Damon Hack explains the inspiration that Myra Kraft had on the Patriots organization.

Brady's cover appearance marks the 27th time that a Patriot has graced the front page of the magazine.

Given the history with their opponent, the New York Giants, this might be the worst news that superstitious Pats fans could hope for. Hopefully Brady and the Pats can avoid the dreaded SI jinx.
