Zdeno Chara Still Has Stick From 108.8 MPH Blast, Looks to Increase Record Each Year

Zdeno Chara's record-setting blast of 108.8 MPH during the hardest shot contest at NHL All-Star Weekend turned heads across the hockey world. So what happened to the stick the Bruins defenseman used?

Well, NESN's Naoko Funayama asked Chara that question prior to Tuesday's game against the Senators, and Chara said he still has the twig he used for that monster shot — for now. Chara may elect to do something with it in the future, but for now, his focus is on starting the second half of the season off on a good note.

Chara said the B's have to play smart hockey going forward because, if they do, it will make everyone's job a whole lot easier in the long run.
