The perennial Beanpot powers flexed their muscles once again this year, as Boston College and Boston University rolled to victories on the opening night of the 2012 Beanpot Tournament.
BU started the show off on the right foot Monday night, scoring three times in the first two periods and giving themselves a solid cushion over Harvard as the Terriers rolled on to an easy 3-1 victory.
The night cap offered another easy win for the favorite, as Boston College used three second-period goals to run away from Northeastern on their way to a 7-1 blowout victory.
The Eagles and Terriers will meet next Monday at 7:30 p.m. at TD Garden.
Check out the video above for highlights from Monday’s openers.
