Jarrod Saltalamacchia is firmly implanted in the Red Sox lineup as the team's everyday catcher, and he's got another year of experience under his belt. For that, Salty is as comfortable as he's been in his major league career.
Saltalamacchia is ready to build even upon on his progress since this spring, though, as he participates in his second spring training with the club. The Boston backstop said he's looking forward to working with the pitchers, including Josh Beckett, who he didn't have an opportunity to catch too often in 2011.
Salty also discussed Daniel Bard's transition to the starting rotation and what Vicente Padilla could potentially bring to the table.
