Jon Lester has been the workhorse of the Boston Red Sox rotation for over five years now, pitching more than 200 innings in each of his first three seasons as a full-time starter.
In 2011, Lester fell victim to some minor injuries, though, and struggled at different times in the year, cutting his innings down below 200 for the first time since becoming a permanent part of the Sox rotation in 2007.
The ambitious left-hander anticipates a return to his heavy workload in 2012, and hopes to improve upon his consistency.
Lester sat down to talk with NESN's Tom Caron and Peter Gammons about his roller-coaster 2011. Check it out in the video above.
