What Is the NHL's Worst Road City to Play In?A member of a New England-based sports team recently complained about the poor condition of the city of Buffalo.

No, it wasn’t Tom Brady.

This time the Buffalo bashing was done by Brad Marchand, who joked that it was not his favorite city to visit.

With Buffalo getting its share of negative press, it’s only fair to wonder if Buffalo truly is the worst place for road teams to visit in the NHL.

There are locations that have some unsavory reputations, such as Newark —  home of the Devils — and Detroit, where the Red Wings play.

Then of course there is Winnipeg up in Canada and Uniondale, NY, homes to the Jets and Islanders, respectively. Both are among the NHL cities that do not have the most favorable of reputations in terms of entertainment or excitement.

Bruins fans may be wondering why Vancouver and Montreal aren’t on this short list of cities. In reality, both cities are actually rather nice, riots and classless fans excluded. They may not top the poll of worst road cities to play in, but they top another list in the minds of Bruins fans.

Pure, unbridled hatred.
