Alex Ovechkin’s Game Lacks Diversity, Capitals in World of Trouble As They Head Down Stretch (Video)

Alex Ovechkin is typically one of the NHL's best players, and the Washington Capitals have enjoyed plenty of regular-season success in recent years. What happened?

The Capitals have struggled of late, and could end up on the outside looking in come playoff time if they aren't able to right the ship soon.

The Instigators discussed Washington's rocky season, and much of it stems from Ovechkin's inability to adapt in the face of adversity. NESN's Jack Edwards discussed Sidney Crosby's history of fine-tuning his game to succeed even as defenses hone in on him, and he feels Ovechkin needs to start doing the same. Otherwise, the Capitals' season could come to an abrupt end.
