Doc Rivers Supports His Son Austin’s Decision, Believes College Players Should Be Allowed to Go Pro Early (Video)

Doc Rivers is one of the most highly respected coaches in the NBA. So when he talks about a player's potential or league rules, people usually listen.

In speaking with reporters before Wednesday night's game against the Utah Jazz, Rivers spent a few minutes discussing his son and NBA hopeful Austin Rivers.

Doc reflected a bit on the process and ultimately put his full support behind Austin's decision, which was announced on Monday.

The Celtics coach also addressed the topic of the NBA's one-and-done rule, expressing his opinion that the restriction has no bearing on a player's ability to play in the league.
