Rangers Have Gotten Best of Bruins So Far This Season, But They're Just Poking the Bear for Potential Playoff Clash

The New York Rangers have a commanding lead atop the Eastern Conference standings, and they've proven to be a worthy adversary for the defending Stanley Cup champion Bruins. The Rangers took down the B's, 3-0, at TD Garden in the teams' last matchup on Feb. 14.

The Original Six rivals will square off again on Sunday. This time, they'll clash on New York's home ice, just as they will in their series finale on April 1. It's realistic to think, though, that their matchup in April might not be the last time the two teams meet this season, as they appear to be on a playoff collision course.

If that ends up being the case, we should expect plenty of fireworks. The Rangers look like they could be the NHL's best as it stands right now, but Bruins fans know New York is just poking the bear.
