Report: Los Angeles Lakers Trade Derek Fisher To Houston, Grab Ramon Sessions From ClevelandTrade rumors have surrounded the Lakers for the past few weeks. However, most of those rumors were connected with the Lakers frontcourt, specifically centered around Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum

So it was a surprise to many when the Forum Blue and Gold got rid of longtime starting point guard Derek Fisher, sending him to the Houston Rockets (along with the Dallas Mavericks' first-round pick) in exchange for Jordan Hill, the fourth-year center out of Arizona, according to ESPN.

Fisher spent 13 of his 16 NBA seasons with the Lakers, where he won five NBA Championships and averaged just under nine points per game.

The Lakers decided to trade Fisher after acquiring Ramon Sessions from the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier in the day. The Cavs will get Luke Walton and three-point specialist Jason Kapono from L.A. as well as the Lakers' first-round selection in the 2012 NBA Draft.
