Report: Pau Gasol Trade Rumors Continue to Swirl As Rockets, Timerberwolves Show Interest in Lakers CenterLakers star center Pau Gasol has been on an emotional roller coaster this season, and he's not off the ride yet.

With the March 15 NBA trade deadline quickly approaching, there are plenty of rumors regarding a deal that would send Gasol to the Houston Rockets. These rumors are all coming in the wake of a previous trade attempt in December that would have sent Gasol to the Rockets while bringing point guard Chris Paul to the Lakers.

Instead, NBA commissioner David Stern nixed the deal, Paul ended up playing in Los Angeles for the Clippers, and Gasol remained a Laker.

But it's unclear how much longer that last part will remain true.

The Lakers have yet to hear any enticing offers, but the Rockets and Timberwolves remain in hot pursuit of Gasol, according to the CBSSports.com

With only five days left for a deal to be completed, the pressure will be on to up the offer if either team wants to secure the 31-year-old center. But even as the intensity of the situation builds, Gasol has done his best to keep a level head on his shoulders.

"I can't control certain things and I'm just going to continue to do my job as best as I can," Gasol said, according to the Los Angeles Times "The less I hear about it, the better, but March 15 is around the corner, so one way or another I'll be here or I'll be … who knows?"
