Kevin Youkilis got off to a slow start to the 2012 season. But just when the All-Star third baseman was finally finding his groove, a nagging back injury cropped up.
Youkilis has now missed the past two games for the Red Sox, and if the injury lingers, it could very well be time to call up prized prospect Will Middlebrooks for a stint with the big club.
