LeBron James Says Failure to Win Title Wouldn't Be 'a Failure,' But It Would Be 'a Disappointment'It's all about the wording, apparently, when it comes to LeBron James.

There are plenty of NBA fans and media alike who think that up to this point in his career, James has been a failure. It's true that James is under pressure and scrutiny like no other, but at least in the recent past, he has wilted under that pressure and scrutiny.

Once again, his Heat enter the NBA playoffs as one of the favorites to win the title. Given the fact that the Heat reached the finals last year and were one of the most dominant teams in the league for times this season, expectations are understandably very high.

So, if the Heat were to fall short again this year, would the season be a failure? James says no.

"The season won't be a failure," James said, according to the Sun Sentinel. "You put too much work into a season to automatically call it a failure, but it would be a disappointment.

"This is our goal. This is what we've come together for. A failure is a strong word. We commit ourselves and we dedicate our season, we work hard every and to automatically say it's a failure, I think that's a big word. But I think it'd be a disappointment, because that's what you work hard for every day."

You're probably splitting hairs between "failure" and "disappointment," James' teammate, Heat guard Dwyane Wade, readily admitted anything less than the Larry O'Brien trophy would be failing.

"I say yes," he said. "There's only one champion. It's a failure for every other team. If you don't win a championship, you had a failed year."

The No. 2 Heat open their playoff schedule Saturday against the No. 7 Knicks in Miami.
