From the velocity of a pitch to the angle of a kicker's foot on a ball, science plays a big role in sports.
That role was on display at Gillette Stadium on Sunday when boys and girls from around the area brought science projects they made to show the relationship between science and sports.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft, New England running back Danny Woodhead, Pats legend Andre Tippett and Raytheon CEO William Swanson were there to see science and sports firsthand. Raytheon sponsored the event.
