Javier Zanetti Could Retire and Become Next Indonesian Idol if He Wants (Video)Javier Zanetti has played professional soccer since 1991, and he has shown no signs of slowing down. But if the Inter Milan captain wants to call time on his career, he could possibly make it as a lounge singer.

On Friday, Zanetti took the stage and crooned live on Indonesian Idol. Ever the good sport, he accepted the host’s challenge of singing in front of a live audience. The veteran defender left teammate Angelo Palombo behind in the crowd, and calmly stepped up to deliver another top performance.

The 38-year-old chose Eros Ramazzotti‘s Piu Bella Cosa as the tune that would take him into the next round of the hit show … if he was only a contestant.

Inter Milan was in Indonesia last week as part of a postseason goodwill tour. On Saturday, the Italian giant beat Indonesia’s national team 4-2 in a friendly.
