Just a day after the New York Giants were presented with their Super Bowl rings for their win over the Patriots in February, a Giants legend is ready to auction off his ring.

The Newark Star-Ledger points out that Lawrence Taylor has put his Super Bowl XXV ring up for auction with SCPAuctions.com. Taylor got the ring after the Giants beat the Buffalo Bills on Jan. 21, 1991.

The auction is set to end Saturday. The bidding opened at $10,000, and it was up to more than $45,000 on Thursday afternoon after 14 bids.

"Presented here is arguably the most significant Super Bowl player ring ever offered publicly," offers the auction site.
