Miami Dolphins to Appear on HBO's 'Hard Knocks' This SeasonHBO finally has its team.

The Miami Dolphins will appear on the network's popular NFL series Hard Knocks this season, head coach Joe Philbin announced during a news conference Tuesday.

Philbin said that he's excited to show off the new direction of the Dolphins during the show's seventh season.

HBO had a hard time finding a team for this year's version of the show, which will mark the series' first season since the Jets' 2010 appearance. The network did not air the show last year as a result of the uncertainty surrounding the NFL in the midst of its labor crisis.

Teams weren't exactly running at the opportunity to appear on this year's season of Hard Knocks either, mainly because of the added hoopla that accompanies it.

The Dolphins put together a lackluster season in 2011, though, so the show could be a way for the team to generate more fan interest around the 2012 squad.
