You can rest assured, Bruins fans, that there are no rebuilding years. Every single year the team's goal is to capture the Stanley Cup.
With that in mind, there's certainly a lot going on in the world of the Bruins. The team just opened contract negotiations with presumed starting goaltender Tuukka Rask, who's job it is to replace the heralded former Conn Smythe winner Tim Thomas. Aside from that, the team took a potential starting goalie of the future in this week's amateur draft, selecting Malcolm Subban, younger brother of Montreal's P.K. Subban. On top of it all, director of amateur scouting Wayne Smith took some time to talk to NESN Daily, outlining the team's yearly goals, in addition to how the club thinks it fared in this year's draft.
