Zach Parise landed a massive deal to join the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday. But it appears that the Bruins were also in the running for the free agent forward.
It was revealed on thursday that Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli and the Bruins had made an offer to the talented forward before he ultimately signed with the Wild.
NESN.com NHL write Douglas Flynn doesn't believe the team's offer could have been all that appealing and even that Parise would have required a lot more money from the B's in order to not return to his home state to continue his career. Flynn also weighed in on the likelihood of seeing Rick Nash in the black and gold soon.
