Ever wanted to picnic on Fenway’s manicured outfield grass, in the shadow of the Green Monster? Well, you’re in luck.
On Sunday, August 5, one hour after the Red Sox’ 1:35 p.m. ET game against the Minnesota Twins, fans are invited to Picnic in the Park, a charity event designed to benefit the Red Sox Foundation’s Red Sox Scholars and RBI Programs. The event will be well worth the price of admission, and includes a picnic in the Fenway outfield, a 45-minute autograph session with players and a host of unique auction items — again, all proceeds going to a good cause.
Lindsay Buchholz, wife of Red Sox starting pitcher Clay Buchholz, took a few minutes to sit down with Jenny Dell to run through the event and explain why it’s a can’t-miss.
Watch the video above to hear Buchholz explain it, and click here for more info on Picnic in the Park.
