Aly Raisman, a Needham, Mass., native, is ready to pack her bags for London, and she couldn't be any more thrilled.
The U.S. Olympic gymnast has worked her whole life to get to this point, and she'll now be representing her country on the world's biggest stage. The honor means "everything" to her.
NESN.com's Alexandra Grace caught up with Raisman recently, and the gymnast said her drive comes from her demand for perfection, and that she's been that way since she was a little girl. Raisman said that she would watch the 1996 Olympic games over and over again at her house in the hopes of sometime achieving what those athletes accomplished.
Raisman now has the opportunity, and it's been a special ride. Check out the video above to hear more about her Olympic journey.
