Everybody knows that training camp for an NFL team is a mounting challenge. So when Bill Belichick says that the Patriots are entering the worst of things, it has to be tough.
The Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe was at the New England Patriots training camp on Wednesday, where coach Belichick said the Patriots “have entered the dog days of camp,” due to difficulty staying mentally sharp the monotonous portion of practice.
During Wednesday’s practice at Gillette Stadium, the Patriots had no problem staying focused. There were at least four instances of scraps between players that occured after the whistle. Still, other players like Vince Wilfork and Donte Stallworth were excited to be back in front of their fans.
Check out the report from Howe to see how Wilfork and Stallworth feel about training camp in the video from NESN Daily.
