Daisuke Matsuzaka, Jacoby Ellsbury Have Performances ‘Just Like Old Times’ Despite New-Look Roster (Video)

If you closed your eyes and tried really hard, you could almost imagine it was like old times for the Sox on Monday.

The Red Sox beat the Royals, Daisuke Matsuzka hurled a gem and Jacoby Ellsbury re-found his power stroke to lead the team to a 5-1 win over Kansas City. It was a throwback to the days of yore, when Matsuzaka was a dominant pitcher and Ellsbury was a 30-30 threat. Those might seem like a long time ago, but it’s more recent than you might imagine.

NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette is awarding Matsuzaka and Ellsbury our “Just Like Old Times” award after this one. Who’s yours?
