Report: Roger Clemens Announces He Will Start Again for Sugar Land Skeeters on Sept. 8Roger Clemens
is coming back for more.

The 50-year-old is going to make another start for the Sugar Land Skeeters, according to FOX 26 KRIV in Texas, meaning that his baseball comeback will continue. While Clemens initially texted that he would start on Sept. 8, it now looks like he’s getting the ball on Friday, Sept. 7 instead.

While Clemens has denied any grand plans of returning to Major League Baseball, this won’t do much to quiet the whispers that he is angling towards pitching for the Houston Astros again. Pitching in the major leagues would reset Clemens’ Hall of Fame eligibility, because rules dictate that a player must be retired for five years before getting voted on for induction.

In his first start for the Skeeters on Aug. 26, Clemens threw 3 1/3 scoreless innings in an eventual 1-0 win for Sugar Land. He struck out two and allowed one hit, and afterwards expressed interest in another start if his body responded well.
